Holidays and Time Off
Purpose
Establish guidelines for requesting and taking time off, ensuring fair and consistent treatment for all employees while maintaining business continuity.
Scope
All Dreamshot employees.
Policy
Annual Leave Entitlement
All employees are entitled to 22 business days of paid vacation per year.
- Leave accrues proportionally from your start date
- Unused leave cannot be carried over to the next calendar year unless approved by management
- Upon termination, unused accrued leave will be paid out
Company Holidays
In addition to annual leave, the following days are company holidays:
- December 24th (Christmas Eve)
- December 31st (New Year's Eve)
- Your birthday (or the closest working day if it falls on a weekend)
Public Holidays
Dreamshot follows the Bilbao calendar for public holidays. You can check the official holidays here: Bilbao Public Holidays
Advance Notice

How to Request Time Off
- Go to Time Off in Odoo
- Click New Request
- Select the Leave Type (Paid Time Off, Birthday Leave, etc.)
- Choose your dates — the duration is calculated automatically
- Click Submit — your manager will be notified
- You can check the status of your request anytime on the same page
Check your balance
Your remaining days are shown at the top of the Time Off page. You get 22 days PTO + 1 birthday per year.
For extended leave (1+ week), get manager approval via Slack before submitting in Odoo.
